However, sadly to say, this 'va-va-voom' project seems to benefit the URBAN kids exclusively.Ironically,the children in rural areas are struggling to cope with simple mathematical and scientific terms which could be successfully achieved in our native language.Calculation table, for example, is one of the MAJOR key to master mathematics..but these kids just couldn't register the numbers because of the language!!A huge loss,that is..and makes life difficult for both the children and the teachers... Although i strongly urge my people (and pupils) to grasp the second language for SURVIVAL purposes, i still believe that it is undeniably CRUCIAL for us to make sense with what we learn.Of course, the best tool to learn these critical subjects is our native language...The language that we uphold and proud of.
